Who we are
Macalix Guides LLC is an independent educational publisher registered in Colorado, with its office at 2200 Bryant St, Suite 400, Denver, CO 80211, United States. You can reach us at [email protected] or by telephone on +1 (303) 555-0126.
Acceptance
Your use of this site, and any order you place for the e-book, means you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you order on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it.
What we provide
This site publishes written guides, and we offer one printable e-book. The guides describe how to review and reduce the space used on a Mac using the panels macOS already includes. We provide information and a written document. We do not provide anything that runs on your machine, we do not offer remote assistance, and we do not access your device.
Licence for the e-book
When you buy the e-book, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read it, store it, and print it for your own use. A single-seat order is for one reader. The five-seat team licence covers up to five readers within one organisation. Under this licence you may not resell the document, publish it, share it beyond the number of seats you hold, or present it as your own work. We keep the copyright; the licence is to read and use, not to republish.
Your responsibilities
- Follow the guides carefully, and keep a copy of anything you cannot recreate before you remove it.
- Use your own judgement about your own files; you are responsible for what you decide to remove.
- Do not use this site or the e-book for anything unlawful.
- Do not attempt to interfere with the site or to copy it wholesale for republication.
Educational information only
The guides are educational. They describe procedures you choose to carry out yourself, on your own machine, at your own discretion. We do not carry out any work on your device. We describe the safe end and the precious end of every group, but the final decision about each item is yours.
No promise of a particular outcome
We make no promise about how much space you will recover. The amount depends entirely on what is stored on your Mac, which we cannot know. Results vary from machine to machine. Nothing on this site or in the e-book is a promise of a specific figure or outcome.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Macalix Guides LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of this site or the e-book, including lost data, lost profits or lost time. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the e-book, or one hundred United States dollars if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Subject to the arbitration clause below, the state and federal courts in California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Arbitration and class-action waiver
Any dispute arising from these terms, this site or the e-book will be resolved by binding arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in a small-claims court. The arbitration will take place in California or, if you prefer, by telephone or on written submissions. You and Macalix Guides LLC each agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, and not as part of any class, collective or representative proceeding. If this waiver is found unenforceable, the arbitration clause as a whole falls away and the courts named above apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you order is the version that governs your purchase. If a change is significant, we will update the date at the top of this page.
Contact
Questions about these terms should go to [email protected], or by post to the address above. We would rather answer a question early than argue about it later.
