The guides on this site are educational information. They explain how the storage features of a Mac work and how a careful reader can review and reduce what occupies the drive. They are written to inform, not to instruct you to do anything in particular. Every action you take on your own machine is your own decision, made with your own files and your own judgement.

We cannot say how much space you will recover, because that depends entirely on what is stored on your Mac. Some readers find a little, others a great deal. Results vary from machine to machine, and from file collection to file collection. Nothing on this site or in the e-book is a promise of a particular figure, outcome or result.
Your responsibility for your files
You are responsible for the files on your own machine. Before you remove anything you cannot recreate, keep a copy somewhere safe. The guides describe a reversible method — move to the Bin first, empty it last — but the final decision about each item is yours. We do not provide remote assistance, we do not access your device, and we do not carry out any work for you.
Accuracy and changes
The storage screens of macOS change as Apple updates it. We check the guides against the current version and correct them when a panel is renamed or moved. Even so, a screen you see may differ from the one described if your Mac is on a different version or is set up in an unusual way. Where something depends on your machine, we say so.
External names and services
The guides mention services and folders that belong to Apple and are part of macOS. We do not control those services, and we are not responsible for how they behave or for any change Apple makes to them. Where a step depends on a service working in a particular way, the guide says what is expected so you can see for yourself whether it matches.
